Settling a personal injury case for my child

In Pennsylvania, a child’s parents can file a lawsuit on behalf of their child.  If the parents and lawyer believe a settlement is appropriate, then they must seek Court approval.  The Court will review the facts of the case and the proposed settlement and costs involved to make sure that the minor is being protected.  Only after the Court approves the settlement, may the defendant pay the agreed upon amount.
