Steven Sokolic
Background
Steven Sokolic is Of Counsel to the firm. Mr. Sokolic has been practicing law for over 30 years. After graduating from George Washington University Law School with High Honors in 1975, he began his legal career with the United States Department of Justice, Tax Division, in Washington, D.C. In 1977, Steve returned to his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and continued his government service in the Office of the District Counsel, Internal Revenue Service. In 1978, he earned a Master of Laws (in Taxation) degree from Georgetown University.
In 1981, Mr. Sokolic entered the private practice of law. He concentrates his practice in estate, business and retirement planning, counseling both individuals and businesses. He has represented multi-million dollar businesses, as well as many small businesses, professional practices and their owners.

Community Involvement

Mr. Sokolic is regularly involved in community activities. He has volunteered to assist at Galilee Pavilion, a facility for the elderly of modest means. He also regularly participates in the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Walk.
Presentations and Publications
- Mr. Sokolic lectures regularly on various estate and retirement planning topics to groups of financial advisors and certified public accountants.
- Mr. Sokolic is also a regular contributor to a retirement planning newsletter published by a local retirement plan administration and consulting firm.
- He is a published author including an article on the operation of private charitable foundations.
