Attorneys
Paul C. Astor Paul C. Astor founded the firm in 1954. He continues to play an active role, serving as senior partner and Chair of the firm and its Executive Committee. His practice
has particular emphasis in the area of corporate, commercial and franchise law, trusts and estates, and strategizing major civil litigation.
Mr. Astor's broad experience includes positions with several government agencies. He served as special counsel to the Governor of Pennsylvania, helping to bring
Volkswagen's manufacturing plant into the Commonwealth. He was also special counsel to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, Lottery Division.
In the legal community, Mr. Astor has served as Chairman of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Law Day and has chaired its Public Relations Committee. He is a
member of the Philadelphia and American Bar Associations and the American Judicature Society. Mr. Astor served several terms as President and Honorary President of the Justice Lodge of B'nai B'rith.
Outside of his legal work, Mr. Astor served on the advisory Board of Hudson United Bank and is counsel for WEAZ-FM Radio, Inc. Additionally, he has also
served as a panel member for seminars at the law schools of the University of Pennsylvania and Villanova University. He is a board member of the Philadelphia
Geriatric Center, a benefactor and head of its Heritage Society. He is also involved as Associate Chairman of the Philadelphia Chapter American Friends of Ben Gurion
University and is head of that organization's Heritage society. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Rowan House and on the boards of numerous other
charitable organizations. He was an honoree of the American Heart Association. Mr. Astor received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School

Julie A. Auerbach Ms. Auerbach concentrates her practice in family law. She has several years'
experience in all aspects of family law handling and counseling a variety of clients. Ms. Auerbach received her BA from The University of Michigan and her Juris
Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law in 1992. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is a member of The Pennsylvania and
Delaware County (Family Law Section) Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar's Association's Section Counsel. Ms. Auerbach is co-author of an article on the Analysis of the Divorce Code of
1990 for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. She is a regular contributor to the Legal Intelligencer and the Matrimonial Strategist, having written articles on a variety of
topics in the family law area. In the non-legal area, Ms. Auerbach is on the Board of Directors of the non-profit organization Family Support Line, which provides support for the child victims of sexual abuse. top of page
Mary Beth Bogan Ms. Bogan has presented seminars in the region to the real estate
community, prominent insurance and corporate representatives as well as
authored manuals concerning real estate law, recent developments in bad
faith litigation, and highlighted litigation investigative techniques.
Ms. Bogan attended Villanova University where she received her B.A.
degree, cum laude, in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctor
from New England School of Law in 1989.
Ms. Bogan is the co-founder of the Pyramid Club's Premier
Women's Networking Group - The Women of Wit & Wisdom. She serves as the
Secretary as well as on the Board of Trustees of the Pennsylvania State
Committee for the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Ms. Bogan also
serves on the Board of Trustees for the Coalition for Hispanic Family
Services located in New York. She is also an active member of the
Philadelphia Museum of Art and serves as a Child Advocate in addition to
serving as an attorney for the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the
Arts.
Ms. Bogan is a member of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania
Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, and the Montgomery
County Bar Association. Ms. Bogan is also included in the United "Who's
Who" Registry. Ms. Bogan is currently a member of the Pennsylvania Bar's
Federal Courts Committee, the Pennsylvania Bar Association's
Professional Liability Committee, and Children's Rights Committee, and
the Professionalism Committee.
Ms. Bogan is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania
state trial and appellate courts, the United States District Court for
the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of
Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Bogan is also licensed
to practice in New York and Massachusetts.

Janet G. Felgoise
Janet G. Felgoise practices family law. As a former educator and journalist, she has a unique ability to understand her client's needs, communicate effectively, and resolve issues expediently.
Prior to joining Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP, she practiced domestic relations law in Philadelphia and Norristown. She also taught social studies in Lower
Moreland and Cheltenham Township high schools and founded Childtowne Montessori Nursery School in Bucks County. Ms. Felgoise served as President of
the Huntingdon Valley Library Board and President of Art Goes to School of Delaware Valley. She is currently a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association's
Family Law Section Divorce Mediation Committee, having completed certification as a Family Mediator as well as serving on the Board of Directors of Aldersgate, a non-profit community outreach service organization.
Ms. Felgoise is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received both her M.S. in Education and her law degree from Temple University. top of page Christopher P. Flannery
Christopher P. Flannery joined Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP in 1999 as an associate in the practice areas of securities law, private placements, real estate syndications, corporate law, and commercial law.
Mr. Flannery has extensive knowledge in the area of corporate structuring, which includes start-up financing, venture capital, private placements and public offerings.
Mr. Flannery graduated from Le Moyne College in 1978, and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School in 1981. He is admitted to the New York

Frances F. Freedman
Prior to becoming a lawyer in 1996, Ms. Freedman worked in publishing in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area and in Boston. In her role as a business person and
entrepreneur, she handled many transactional matters, financial planning, and management situations. As an associate in the commercial department specializing
in publishing law, she brings extensive business experience to her legal practice.Ms. Freedman raised venture and partnership capital for major publishing
companies. She has assembled and managed winning editorial teams to produce and sell editorial products. As president of CitySport Network, a corporation formed to
publish regional sports magazines, she founded and published PhillySport and SportBoston. Frances was also a publisher and founder of Atlantic City magazine and President of Applause Magazine.
She attended Mount Holyoke College and is a graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University. She received her law degree from Temple University. Ms.
Freedman received certification from Harvard Law School for completing the negotiation workshop. top of page Elissa Fuller Elissa J. Fuller is an associate in the firm's trusts and estates department. She is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Ms. Fuller is a recent graduate of Rutgers School of Law-Camden where she served as Senior Research Editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy. In law school, Ms. Fuller was awarded best moot court brief, worked as a teaching assistant in the Legal Research and Writing Department and served as the Rutgers Liaison to the Philadelphia Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division.
In 2003, Ms. Fuller worked as a summer law clerk for Federal Magistrate Judge Joel B. Rosen.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Fuller worked in the legislative office of Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr. on Capitol Hill. During her tenure in the Senate, she worked on a variety of both domestic and foreign policy issues ranging from education and environment to military and terrorism.
Ms. Fuller received her B.A. in Music from American University in 2001.

David I. Grunfeld David I. Grunfeld concentrates his practice in family law, commercial litigation, collections and professional responsibility. Prior to joining Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP, Mr. Grunfeld was a sole practitioner.
He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and was a past Chair of the Family Law Section and past Editor-in-Chief of the Philadelphia Bar magazine and newspaper. Mr. Grunfeld received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and his B.S. from Lehigh University. He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1968.

David Gutin David Gutin has expertise in all phases of family law, such as divorce, child
custody, adoption and support. In addition, he has extensive experience in commercial civil litigation. Mr. Gutin has been an active member of many philanthropic organizations. His
current board memberships include the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, and the Jewish Family and Children's

Edward P. Kelly Edward P. Kelly focuses his practice in the areas of corporate law, commercial and residential real estate, and commercial litigation. He represents businesses and business owners in a variety of matters, including entity formation, contracts, litigation and real estate matters.
Mr. Kelly is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996 and from the Boston University School of Law in 1999. David M. Koller David M. Koller represents individuals and companies in a broad range of commercial litigation matters in federal and state court, including contract disputes, labor and employment litigation, and real estate litigation. He also handles a broad range of transactional matters for both individuals and businesses.
David graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999 and Villanova University School of Law in 2002, where he was the Commencement Speaker at graduation and President of the Student Bar Association. In his final year of law school, David established an annual charity date auction in which auction proceeds are donated to the American Heart Association every year. He volunteers for the Office of Admissions of the University of
Pennsylvania, where he interviews local area high school seniors who have applied for admission to Penn. He also is the Class of 1999 representative at Penn's annual Commencement ceremonies. David is a Board of Advisor to the Alumni Association of Villanova University School of Law and a member of the Law Students and Recent Graduates Committee. He participates in a Day in the Law Program as well as Lawyering Together, where he mentors and supervises pairs of law students who work on pro bono cases through Philadelphia VIP. David S. Mandel David S. Mandel is managing partner of the Firm and Chairman of the Business and
Real Estate Departments. He practices extensively in the commercial real estate area with a particular emphasis in shopping center leasing, representing developers
and owners in the acquisition and development of commercial projects, and developers and tenants in retail lease negotiations. He has negotiated leases and
agreements of sale with big box retailers for both developers and tenants and has also represented developers in both construction and permanent financing
transactions with banks, life insurance companies and conduit lenders. He also represents developers of residential projects, including planned residential
developments and condominiums. His real estate clients include developers of large and small centers as landlords and national and regional retailers as tenants. He is a
member of the International Counsel of Shopping Centers and is active in its law division. He is also a member of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Bar Associations
Mr. Mandel also counsels clients in business planning generally, including business formations, employment agreements, shareholder and partnership agreements,
corporate reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions. His business clients include those recognized as some of the fastest growing companies in the country.

Jerrold V. Moss
Jerrold V. Moss concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation. Appearing in both State and Federal Courts, and in mediation and arbitration proceedings, he
represents clients involved in commercial disputes as well as those who have sustained personal injury. Additionally, Mr. Moss represents clients in general business transactions.
Mr. Moss chaired the litigation department at Rubin Quinn Moss & Patterson, L.P. before joining Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP, as special counsel. He also
served as a director on the boards of both the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations. Long active in both government and non-profit activities, Mr. Moss was a president
of the commission that drafted the Home Rule Charter of Cheltenham Township and served for many years on the Township's Zoning Hearing Board. He has been
of counsel or a board member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute, the Cheltenham Center for the Arts and Muse Gallery, and presently is vice president of the Society Hill Civic Association.

Bradley D. O'Brien Bradley D. O'Brien had broad experience in sophisticated commercial lending and other banking transactions. Mr. O'Brien has represented both lendors and borrowers as well as serving as special transactional counsel to various financial institutions.
Mr. O'Brien is active in the Philadelphia Bar Association and serves as co-chairman to the Business and Commercial Finance Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

Pace Reich
Pace Reich's practice area is bankruptcy. Mr. Reich has extensive experience in bankruptcy law, and his principal practice is in courts in numerous jurisdictions in
the United States. His principal non-bankruptcy practice involves commercial litigation in the Pennsylvania Courts. Mr. Reich is of counsel to Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP.
Mr. Reich is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association; Eastern District Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference. He is admitted to practice before the

David R. Rosenfeld David R. Rosenfeld, Esquire is the Chairman of the firm's litigation department, with a specialization in commercial litigation and bankruptcy, representing both debtors and creditors. He is a 1975 graduate of Villanova University School of Law and served one year in the Republic of Viet Nam in the United States Army.

Gerald J. Schorr Gerald J. Schorr devotes his practice exclusively to family law, in which he has
practiced for more than thirteen years. He is an active litigator in the areas of support and alimony, distribution of marital property, and custody.
He has served as Chairperson of the Equitable Distribution Committee of the Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association, has chaired numerous
programs on family law practice, has written numerous articles on family law issues, and has lectured on family law to, and authored materials for, the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Mr. Schorr is active in a wide range of community affairs, including tutoring English as a second language, serving on the boards of the Civil Rights Committee of the
Anti-Defamation League and Pennsylvania Pro Musica, and serving as a member of, and advisor to, the Board of the Friends of Elkins Park Library.
Mr. Schorr received his bachelor's degree from Rutgers College in 1972. Prior to attending law school, he was a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Religion at

Barbara Oaks Silver
Barbara Oaks Silver, of the family law department and estate department of the firm, joined Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP after practicing law with her
Partner and husband in their own firm for more than twenty years. She works personally and closely with her clients. Ms. Silver has lectured and taught extensively in Pennsylvania and New Jersey on
Family Law and Estate Planning. She was formerly a professor of corporate law for twelve years at the Institute for Paralegal Training in Philadelphia and has lectured
throughout the United States on Corporate Law. She was also on the faculty of Temple University Center City, where she gave a seminar in estate and financial planning.
Ms. Silver created and taught a course in general practical law to more than 1400 women at the YMHA/YWHA in Philadelphia. It was here that she observed the
enormous need to develop a mature and responsible representation in the area of family law. This led to the development of her current busy practice.
Ms. Silver and her husband, Edward W. Silver, Esquire, also conduct seminars in practical law and community issues at TARP (Temple Association for Retired
Professionals) in Center City, Philadelphia, to which they invite prominent guest speakers. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received
her law degree from Temple University. She is a member of the PA Commission of Women in the Profession and was named one of the 154 Best Lawyers in the City by Philadelphia Magazine.

Edward W. Silver is of counsel to the firm, concentrating his practice in the areas of commercial transactions, corporate law, and litigation. Mr. Silver founded the law
firm of Silver and Silver and was a senior partner in that firm for over twenty years until its merger with Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP in 1991.
He was a member of the faculty of the Institute for Paralegal Training of Philadelphia, where he taught corporate law. In addition, he has lectured at Temple
University Center City (including the Temple Association for Retired Professionals) in various areas of law. Mr. Silver graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School after
completing his undergraduate studies there. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Curtis Bok of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania from 1959 to 1961.
He was a founder and former director of the Franklin Mint, and was the chief of a legal office in Japan during his service in the United States Army. top of page
Marc I. Simon
Marc Simon is an Associate in the Firm, concentrating his practice in
complex civil and commercial litigation as well as sports representation
for athletes. Mr. Simon is an NBA certified agent and the head of the
Firm's Sports Management Practice (www.astorsportsmanagement.com
). He has represented many
basketball players in the NBA and top European, Asian, Middle Eastern
and South American Leagues around the world. He was also a Division I
college basketball player.
Mr. Simon earned his Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University
School of Law, Magna Cum Laude and received the Order of the Coif. He
received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Columbia
University. He was managing editor of outside articles for the
Villanova Environmental Law Journal. He is a member of PA Bar
Association and admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Simon has been asked to speak as an expert on numerous occasions in
the fields of sports management and athlete representation including:

Robert P. Style
Robert P. Style is of counsel to the firm, concentrating his practice in employment and labor law, with a particular emphasis upon the representation of firms engaged
in the staffing industry. Mr. Style has served as Vice President and General Counsel of a national franchiser of placements and temporary help services. Since
1976, he has been in private practice focusing on employment and labor relations matters, including counseling, contract preparation and/or litigation relating to
employment discrimination, employer/employee disputes, enforcement of restrictive covenants and trade secrets, as well as issues arising out of Fair Labor Standards
Act, Family and Medical Leave Act and, Employee Polygraph Protection Act. Mr. Style has also represented employers in collective bargaining, negotiation and

Frank N. Tobolsky Frank Tobolsky, a Partner in the Firm, focuses on sophisticated
commercial real estate and business transactions, primarily office and
shopping center leasing, sales, purchases, financing and development.

Elizabeth F. Warner
Elizabeth F. Warner concentrates her practice in the area of family law, focusing on divorce, custody, support, adoption and domestic relations.
She is the Co-Chair of the Divorce and Equitable Distribution Committee of the Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association and is an active member in
the Association. Ms. Warner has lectured on custody and equitable distribution. Ms. Warner received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in
1969. Prior to attending law school, she was a social worker with the Philadelphia Department of Human Services. She received her Juris Doctor Magna Cum Laude from Temple University School of Law in 1987.
Prior to coming to Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP, Ms. Warner clerked in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and worked for a large
Philadelphia law firm, handling family law matters in the five-county area. In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Warner is a trained Family Mediator.

Judith Widman Judith Widman concentrates her practice in family law. Prior to joining Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP, Ms. Widman was a sole practitioner. She serves as Vice President
to the Board of the Public Defenders of Philadelphia. She was co-author of a volume for West Publishing Company on Domestic Relations and has lectured for PBI. She is a past president and board member of Society Hill Synagogue. Ms. Widman received her J.D.
from Temple University School of Law and an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

David S. Workman David S. Workman has been a Partner in the firm of Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP since 1980 and is Chair of the tax and estate planning department. A
recognized expert in the field of tax and estate planning. Mr. Workman concentrates his practice in federal, state and local tax matters, estate planning, estate administration, and probate law.
He coordinates commercial and real estate transactions, domestic relations resolutions, and foreign expansion business with in-depth tax and estate planning.
He has acted as counsel to both multi-million dollar corporations and small companies, as well as counsel for individuals with estate and financial planning concerns.
Mr. Workman has lectured extensively, including at the 1993 Annual Tax Forum for the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Philadelphia
Chamber of Commerce, and other professional groups on estate planning and/or tax-related topics. Mr. Workman received his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of
Virginia and LLM in taxation from New York University. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Ohio Bars. top of page
